ABOUT THE SHOW
"WEST SIDE STORY" transports Shakespeare’s "Romeo and Juliet" to 1950s New York City, where Tony and Maria, two young lovers, find themselves caught between rival street gangs: the American Jets and the Puerto Rican Sharks.
As tensions escalate, their love struggles to survive a world shaped by hatred, violence, prejudice, and division.
Featuring music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and a book by Arthur Laurents, this landmark musical combines powerful storytelling with an unforgettable score.
Passionate, poignant, and deeply moving, "WEST SIDE STORY" remains one of musical theatre’s greatest love stories and most enduring masterpieces.
