ABOUT THE SHOW
Sandy Rustin’s original comedy, "THE COTTAGE" has been hailed as “Laugh Out Loud!” by the New York Times.
In "THE COTTAGE" the true meaning of fate, identity, and marriage are called into question as a surprising, hilarious web of secrets unravels in this ridiculous - potentially murderous - uncharacteristically feminist, 1923 British tale of sex, betrayal, and oh yes, love when Sylvia Van Kipness decides to expose her love affair to her husband and her lover's wife.
ABOUT ACME THEATER
Founded in 1992, ACME THEATER is a group of highly skilled artists who love theater and work together to bring the performing arts to the stage. Whether actor, director, designer or production staff, ACME THEATER volunteers share a common passion for presenting live theater to local and regional audiences. ACME mission is to be inclusive of all talents and ideas, and produce a variety of thoughtful works. Through various means, ACME THEATER finds ways to eliminate barriers to the cost of attendance to historically underfunded members of audiences. In addition to four mainstage productions per year, ACME hosts the ACME IMPROV COMPANY and fosters the creativity of playwrights by hosting ACME's nationally renowned New Works Winter Festival of new plays.
