ABOUT THE SHOW
"H.M.S. PINAFORE" or "THE LASS THAT LOVED A SAILOR" is one of the most famous and well-loved pieces of musical theater.
It was Gilbert and Sullivan’s first “blockbuster” hit, and for good reason.
Gilbert’s clever wit and lyrics and Sullivan’s memorable melodies enchanted audiences on both sides of the Atlantic following the debute of "H.M.S. PINAFORE on May 25, 1878, at the Opera Comique in London.
For this fall’s performances, VALLEY LIGHT OPERA is delighted to present "H.M.S. PINAFORE" or "THE LASS THAT LOVED A SAILOR"
This "PINAFORE" production is special, as it is part of a yearlong celebration marking the 50th anniversary of VLO's founding in March 1975.
All connected with this landmark show are determined to make it a production to remember.
Notably, since VALLEY LIGHT OPERA's very first production in 1975 was "H.M.S. PINAFORE" this year truly represents a return to VLO roots.
ABOUT VALLEY LIGHT OPERA
