ABOUT THE SHOW
Coming in July to commemorate the 250th:
Colonial Chorus Players proudly presents Peter Manos' "MY DEAREST FRIEND" - a new play about John and Abigail Adams based on actual letters between the couple.
Both a history lesson and a love story, "MY DEAREST FRIEND" is about the founding of the nation revealed through the rich, witty, and passionate correspondence between John and Abigail Adams.
They spent years apart, sometimes on separate continents, but stayed intensely in love for more than half a century.
John and Abigail Adams are remembered today as two key architects of America’s enduring legacy: democracy, freedom, and a government by the people, responsible to the needs of the people.
Their love story changed the nation and the world.
"MY DEAREST FRIEND" is a Time Travel Theatrical production directed by Laura J. Bilodeau.
Two sets of actors - Peter Cavicchio & Carla Perrotta and James Hunt & Katie Broach - portray the second President and the First Lady.
